Indian Sports is perpetually plagued with resource crunch, thereby compromising prospects of even the most promising of its sporting talent. The Foundation ran some special schemes under which deserving Indian sportspersons were trained to excel at international events.

  • The Foundation launched a scheme to reward and encourage Indian medal winners at international games and began adopting for six to eight years, budding sportspersons, and sponsoring established sportspersons.
  • The Foundation established and operated a tennis training facility in collaboration with the All India Lawn Tennis Association, in New Delhi. This training facility helped up-grade the skills of a number of budding tennis players who subsequently made a mark at national and international levels.
  • The Foundation encouraged promising Indian women weight-lifters, after identifying their potential to excel in International sporting events and contributed substantially to their training.
